Dennis Idahosa is a Nigerian politician and businessman who is currently serving as the Chairman of the House Committee on Healthcare Services and the representative of Ovia South-West/North-East Federal Constituency of Edo State in the House of Representatives.
He is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former Commissioner for Investment, Public and Private Partnership in Edo State under the administration of Adams Oshiomhole.
He is also the CEO of Eagle Denco Company Limited, a company with interests in construction, mining and real estate. He is known for his philanthropy and his passion for youth empowerment and development.

Dennis Idahosa was born on November 8, 1980 into a well-cultured family from Iguobazuwa, Ovia South West Local Government Area. He attended and completed his primary and secondary education in Ovia, where he developed a passion for helping his community.
He left Nigeria in 1998, immediately after secondary school, to further his education in Canada. He studied sociology as a first degree and later ventured into real estate, where he became successful and established his own company, Eagle Denco. He is currently studying for a master’s degree in Legislative Studies in Nigeria.

Dennis Idahosa Career
Dennis Idahosa started his career as a real estate developer in Canada, where he established his own company, Eagle Denco, with interests in construction, mining and real estate. He became successful and employed several youths in his company.
He returned to Nigeria in 2012, after meeting with the then Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, who persuaded him to come home and contribute his quota to the development of his state. He was appointed as the Commissioner for Investment, Public and Private Partnership, becoming the youngest commissioner in Edo State.
He donated all his salaries as a commissioner to the people of Ovia South West Constituency and also employed several youths in his company. He also partnered with Prince Harrison Ehimiyen Foundation to spread the campaign against drug abuse and cultism, especially in secondary schools.
He decided to run for the House of Representatives in 2019, to impact more positively on the lives of his people. He contested under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and won the election, defeating the incumbent, Barrister Omosede Igbinedion. He is currently the Chairman of the House Committee on Healthcare Services.
