In 2009, he moved to Access Bank as an executive director and regional head of the north-central zone, where he was responsible for the bank’s strategic growth and expansion in the region.

In 2014, he was appointed as the managing director and chief executive officer of Unity Bank, a position he held until 2020. Under his leadership, Unity Bank achieved significant improvements in its financial performance, customer service, and corporate governance.

In 2020, he left Unity Bank to pursue other interests, including serving as a board member and consultant for several organizations, such as the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, and the African Development Bank.
