Naushad Khan is a former Indian cricketer who played for Mumbai and coached his sons Sarfaraz Khan and Musheer Khan, both of whom represented India in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
His son, Sarfaraz Khan is also an international cricketer who plays for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Musheer Khan is a right-handed batsman all-rounder who made his first-class debut in 2022.

Naushad Khan was born on July 16, 1971, in Bombay (now Mumbai), Maharashtra. His family hails from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

Naushad Khan made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the 1992-93 season against Gujarat at the Wankhede Stadium. He scored 41 runs in the first innings and took two wickets in the match. He played his second match against Baroda at the same venue and scored his maiden first-class century, making 109 runs in the second innings.
Naushad Khan was a part of the Mumbai team that won the Ranji Trophy in 1993-94, 1994-95 and 1996-97. He played a crucial role in the 1993-94 final against Bengal at the Eden Gardens, where he scored 66 runs in the first innings and took four wickets in the match, including three in the second innings. He also scored a half-century in the 1994-95 final against Punjab at the Wankhede Stadium.
Naushad Khan’s highest score in first-class cricket was 151 not out, which he made against Delhi at the Feroz Shah Kotla in the 1995-96 season. He also scored two other centuries, against Karnataka at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in 1994-95 and against Railways at the Karnail Singh Stadium in 1996-97. He also took a five-wicket haul against Saurashtra at the Wankhede Stadium in 1996-97, finishing with figures of 5/64.
Naushad Khan played his last first-class match for Mumbai against Tamil Nadu at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in the 1997-98 season. He scored 17 runs in the first innings and did not bat in the second. He took one wicket in the match, that of S Ramesh. He retired from first-class cricket at the age of 26, having played 23 matches, scoring 1,058 runs at an average of 28.86 and taking 18 wickets at an average of 43.72.
Naushad Khan then became a cricket coach and mentor for many young talents, including Iqbal Abdulla and Kamran Khan. He discovered his son Sarfaraz’s talent of timing the ball well when he was just five years old and started coaching him.
