Oluwadarasimi Omoseyin was born on April 4, 1995 in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State in Nigeria. She is the second child of four siblings. Her father is a businessman and her mother is a teacher.
She attended St. Theresa’s College for her secondary education and later studied Theatre Arts at the University of Ibadan. She graduated in 2017 and joined the Nollywood industry shortly after.

On January 28, 2023, Omoseyin attended a friend’s wedding at Monarch Event Center in Lekki, Lagos. She was filmed spraying and stepping on the newly redesigned naira notes, worth 100,000 naira ($83; £66), while dancing. The video of her action went viral online and sparked outrage among Nigerians, who accused her of disrespecting the national currency and violating the law.
On February 1, 2023, Omoseyin was arrested by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) along Awolowo Road in Ikoyi, Lagos. She was then handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for investigation. In her statement to the EFCC, Omoseyin claimed that she received the new naira notes from her fans at the party and that she did not know the people who gave her the money.
On February 13, 2023, Omoseyin was arraigned before Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos. She was charged with two counts of tampering with the currency, contrary to and punishable under section 21 (1) of the Central Bank Act, 2007. She pleaded not guilty to the charges and was remanded in Kirikiri Prison pending the determination of her bail application.
On February 2, 2024, Omoseyin changed her plea to guilty after the EFCC presented “overwhelming” evidence against her. Through her lawyer, she pleaded for leniency, saying she was a first-time offender and a mother of one. She also asked for a non-custodial sentence. However, Justice Aneke sentenced her to six months imprisonment with an option to pay $250 fine.
