Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel is an Assyrian Christian cleric presently serving as the bishop of Christ the Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley, New South Wales, Australia. Born on July 19, 1970, in Haditha, Al Anbar Governorate, Iraq, he was raised in a devout Christian household. After relocating to Sydney, Australia, in the early 1980s, he attended Fairfield High School.
During the 1990s, Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel worked as a bank manager before transitioning to a deacon role in the late 1990s. He was subsequently ordained as a priest in 2009.
