In 2004, he joined Zenith Bank as a deputy general manager and head of the Abuja branch, where he oversaw the bank’s operations and business development in the federal capital territory and neighboring states.
In 2009, he moved to Access Bank as an executive director and regional head of the north-central zone, where he was responsible for the bank’s strategic growth and expansion in the region.
In 2014, he was appointed as the managing director and chief executive officer of Unity Bank, a position he held until 2020. Under his leadership, Unity Bank achieved significant improvements in its financial performance, customer service, and corporate governance.
