He is the founder and chairman of Monokpebho Nigeria Limited, a leading agro-allied company that produces and exports cash crops, such as cocoa, palm oil, rubber, and cassava. He is also the founder and chairman of Monokpebho Oil and Gas Limited, a major player in the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry.
He is also the founder and chairman of Monokpebho Construction Limited, a reputable construction company that has executed several road and building projects across the country. He is also the founder and chairman of Monokpebho Hotels and Suites, a chain of luxury hotels and resorts in Nigeria and abroad.
Senator Monday Okpebholo ventured into politics in 1999, when he contested and won the House of Representatives seat for Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He served as a member of the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003, where he distinguished himself as a vocal and vibrant legislator, who sponsored and supported several bills and motions of national importance.
